Creating films that are enjoyed and shared with others is what excites us most. That and traveling the world, tasting good food, laughing with friends, seeing brilliant films, listening to awesome music, being in love... you get the drift. Formerly known as Hello Super 8, we made a name for ourselves creating super 8 wedding films for many happy clients from near and far. With the introduction of digital cinema into our work, we changed our name (ever so slightly) to Hello Super Studios. Several years later, we are still proudly making movies that people love to watch and share.
Meet the team!
Megan - Owner + Creative Director
Born & raised in Southern CA, educated in Boston, trained in Los Angeles & now resides between New York & France, Megan is endlessly excited about the world around her. Exploring new countries, discovering great music and movies, getting wild on the dance floor, eating delicious foods, shooting super 8 film (and keeping the medium alive!) are a few of her favorite things. Since having her own (best) wedding (ever) this past year, Megan has a deeper insight into all the wild excitement and emotions that happen during these crazy amazing days. Megan covers events in the US, France & Beyond.
Riley - super 8 + digital cinema expert
After winning a plastic 35mm point & shoot in a grade school raffle, Riley quickly became an amateur photographer extraordinaire. After countless rolls of tacky subject matter, wrong exposures, and poor focus, Riley finally grew up and so did his work... phew! Now with several years of shooting and editing experience under his belt, including everything from documentaries and music videos to narratives and wedding films, Riley continues his long lived passion of working with film & has started his own traveling analog portrait studio. Riley covers events in and around NYC & the East Coast.
Tatiana - super 8 + motion graphics expert
Having grown up overseas (Venezuela, Taiwan, Thailand, Mexico, Hong Kong), Tatiana developed a passion for documentary photography and filmmaking at a young age. She has a degree in Film from Emerson College as well as an MFA in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts. Since college, she's worked on everything from television programming (MSNBC, PBS), award-winning documentary feature films, and has directed a multitude of music videos. She also happens to be a founding member of Hello Super 8! Tatiana recently founded a post-production studio that specializes in music videos, 2D animation and motion graphics.
Sharon - super 8 + digital cinema expert
Sharon was born and bred in New York and after hopping around the East Coast for a bit, and a small stint abroad, she now calls Brooklyn her home. Sharon has a real passion for storytelling and helping others tell their stories in the most engaging and creative ways possible. Since her work keeps her mostly in the digital realm, in her free time Sharon loves playing with Holga and Polaroid cameras and has come to really LOVE shooting with Super 8 film.
J.P. - audio & 2nd camera expert
Our resident Frenchman, J.P., is a long-time musician who specializes in playing soul, jazz & funk on vintage keyboards. Besides his love of all things retro, he's also an intrepid traveller & incredible chef. Since meeting Megan (in a brass band parade in New Orleans), he picked up an interest in cinematography and has been intrumental in adding audio capture for our films, as well as performing 2nd camera duties at our events. J.P. covers events in the US, France & Beyond.
